CD3 Series: Highly accurate detection and measurement regardless of color or background material

| The CD3 series laser measures the thickness of a rubber sheet as it is being processed between 2 rollers. The analog output from the sensor is connected to a proportional pressure controller that adjusts the height of the roller. The feedback from the sensor maintains the thickness of the rubber sheet within the 1.5 - 3mm tolerance specification. | The CD3 series is set-up to monitor thin multicolored gift cards on a high speed conveyor line before being packaged. When an overlapped card is detected by the sensor, the digital output sends a signal to the PLC so that the overlapped card can be removed. |
| • The self contained design and on board digital display allow for quick set-up and visible confirmation of detection distance to the target material. | • The CMOS image sensor technology incorporated in the sensor allows for accurate and stable detection of dark colored material such as tire compounds as well as very reflective targets like polished metal. |
| • Equipped with a 4-20ma output, the CD3 series is great for distance or thickness measurement. | • The CD3 series also has a digital on/off output for hi/low monitoring of target material. |
| • The remote teach and bank selection allows for quick adjustments with product changeovers. | • The CD3 works well in detecting seams, overlapping parts, monitoring thickness, measuring or monitoring height, and detecting precise position of edges. |
